Pilots Spill Sasquatch, 8-4
|
A 4-RBI performance from Jesus Tapia, who finished 3rd in the TML in triples with 11 last year, helped the Jacksonville Pilots beat the Seattle Sasquatch, 8-4. Carlos Reyes finished to wrap up his 1st save. The Pilots raised their record to 27-31.
In the top of the sixth, the Pilots grabbed the lead when Tapia hit his 1st triple of the season. The bases-clearing triple off Ward Nielsen made it 6-4, Jacksonville.
"Jesus leaves the last at-bat behind him, whether it was good or bad, and goes up there and competes on every pitch," said Jacksonville manager Bill Lomax.
