Luchadores Win with Late Rally
Though he had a stellar game, Miguel Lopez could not prevent his team, the Walnut Creek Warriors, from losing, 6-5, to the Mexico City Luchadores. Lopez went 4 for 6 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Dan Wallace, now 3-3, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. With the win, the Luchadores have a record of 32-34.

The decisive blow was delivered by Dan Stowers in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a solo home run off fan favorite Russ Gilleo to win the game for Mexico City. The home crowd went nuts.

"This is a resilient bunch," said Mexico City manager Tewolde Ojo.
