| Orphans Topple Bush Wackers with Late Rally | The Cambridge Orphans bested the Brisbane Bush Wackers by a score of 6-4, with first baseman Mike Chavez getting the main credit. On the day, Chavez went 2 for 2 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Orphans. Andy Fitzpatrick was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 16 of 19 save opportunities. Even with the win, the Orphans have a dismal 55-104 record.
Chavez had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 0-1 curveball from Chris Brewer, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Orphans a 4-1 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Chavez.
"Feels good to get the job done," Chavez said after the game.
