Birdwings Roll Past Sting, 6-2

Hazleton Birdwings starter Matt Matsch turned in a top-notch performance against the Houston Sting at Road Warriors Field. The result was a win for the Birdwings, 6-2. The Birdwings now have a record of 65-93.
The Birdwings got a big at-bat from left fielder Harrison Edwards. For the game, Edwards went 2-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 14th double of the season gave Hazleton a 3-2 lead.
"It's nice to get the results when you're feeling good and throwing the ball well," said Matsch after the game.
