| Mustangs Beat Gnats in 10 | The San Angelo Mustangs defeated the Nichols Gnats, 5-4, in Lyman Bostock League action at Heartland Kettlecorn Stadium, with San Angelo pitcher Victor Benavirez named player of the game. The Mustangs raised their record to 69-88.
The Mustangs got a big at-bat from second baseman Danny Salazar. For the game, Salazar went 1 for 1 with a triple. In the bottom of the tenth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring triple. His 6th triple of the season gave San Angelo a 5-4 lead.
"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Benavirez said.
