The Milwaukee Millers withstood a fine game by Quebec second baseman Vince Walker at The Mandalore Complex, to upend the Armada, 8-5. Walker hit 2 home runs. Mario Solis, the winner, goes to 5-2. He allowed no runs on 4 hits, with 1 walk and 7 strikeouts over 5 innings. The 5th-place Armada now sit at 27-29.

Juan Luna had a big grand slam home run for the Millers in the bottom of the third inning. With Milwaukee leading 3-0 and the bases loaded, he sized up a fastball from Bruce Gaulton, who finished 2nd in the TML in wins with 20 in 2053, and punished it. The result was his 15th home run of the season, which put the Millers on top, 7-0.

"It was our day today," Luna told the Milwaukee Observer. "But we've got to keep our nose to the grindstone."
