| Howe Hits 2 home runs in Lake Monsters Win | Heartland Kettlecorn Stadium was the site for Lyman Bostock League action featuring the San Angelo Mustangs and Okanagan Lake Monsters.
The Okanagan Lake Monsters grabbed a 5-0 win over the San Angelo Mustangs at Heartland Kettlecorn Stadium. Okanagan designated hitter Herbert Howe hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice to earn player of the game honors. Ruben Noyola, who went 7.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with no runs on 5 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 2. His record now stands at 12-2.
Howe had a big at-bat with a runner on 1st in the top of the sixth inning, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Lake Monsters went on to win.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Okanagan skipper Stu Yarbrough.
Okanagan leads the Lyman Bostock League Dick Williams Division by 5½ games.
