| McGinnis slugs 2 home runs to Pull Knights to .500 | Riding the 3-hit performance of the 24-year old shortstop Aaron McGinnis, the Kingwood Knights stopped the Williamsport Crosscutters, 6-2. Kingwood starter Derrick Brown was credited with the win after throwing 101 pitches over 5.2 innings. His record now stands at 7-6. The Crosscutters, now 67-71, have lost 4 in a row.
The Knights got a big at-bat from third baseman Dennis George. For the game, George was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Kingwood a 3-0 lead.
