Dedicated fans weathered the storm to watch their beloved Armada beat the Mounties.

Quebec Armada starter Justin Jenks was on his game, helping his team beat the Montreal Mounties, 4-1. Jenks, now 1-0, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 5, walking 0, and allowing 1 run. Nick Cockrell recorded his 4th save for Quebec.

The game was at a stalemate until designated hitter Phil Peters came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Montreal pitcher Randy Mowers, he hit a 1-1 slider for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Quebec on top, 2-1.

"I like what I saw today," said Quebec manager Rod Cirilo, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."

The Armada, now 5-2, have hit the ground running this season.
