| Jedi Knights Turn Back Winfield, 5-3 | The Winfield Warriors got a superb performance from third baseman Alex Velez. Still, it wasn't enough to beat New Orleans. The Jedi Knights won the game, 5-3. In spite of the loss, Velez was named the player of the game. He was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs. New Orleans is now 50-71, Winfield 60-61.
The Jedi Knights got a big at-bat from catcher Nick Rowley. For the game, Rowley went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave New Orleans a 3-0 lead.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Rowley.
