Brisbane Wins, 4-3, Over Birdwings
|
The Brisbane Bush Wackers gave their fans something to talk about with a thrilling, walk-off win.
Hazleton got a valiant performance from pitcher Roman Mazariegos, but it wasn't enough to beat the Brisbane Bush Wackers. Brisbane won the game, 4-3. Mazariegos came in in relief and pitched to 30 batters for the losing team. Oliver Price earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record is now 5-6.
The Bush Wackers got a clutch hit from third baseman Mario Garcia. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Bush Wackers.
"Nice to get this one," said Garcia. "We've been scuffling."
The Bush Wackers, at 30-83, sit in 5th place in the RCL HA Dusty Baker Division.
