The umbrellas came out during the Brownsville-Hazleton contest at Bandits Grove.

In a tight tilt between the Brownsville Bandits and the Hazleton Birdwings, Peter Phillips was the deciding factor. The Brownsville right-hander spearheaded the 3-0 win. Brownsville goes to 53-55, Hazleton to 50-60.

Alan Kendrick, who is tied for 7th in the RHA with a 1.100 OPS, took Hazleton hurler Dave Mayo deep in the bottom of the seventh. His 3-run home run put the Bandits on top, 3-0. In all, Kendrick had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

Phillips said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
