The Niagara Falls Barrels besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Kingwood shortstop Santos Monterrubio by beating the Knights, 12-9, at Horseshoe Park. Monterrubio went 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. With the win, Niagara Falls pushed its record to 54-36.

Preston Nantz took Kingwood hurler Austin MacLean deep in the bottom of the third. His 2-run home run put the Barrels on top, 5-4. In all, Nantz had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"Crazy game," said Nantz after it ended.
