The Montreal Mounties were defeated, 3-1, by the Bloomington Blazers at Mount Royal Grounds, even though Eddie Galloza pitched well for Montreal. Picking up his 14th save was two-time All-Star Jason Phillips. The loss makes Montreal 29-22.

In the bottom of the ninth, Steve Hayden stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Mounties were trailing 3-1, but had runners on 1st and 2nd. That's when Jason Phillips made a terrific pitch and Hayden popped out. Gone was the dream of a Montreal comeback.
