Apples Win, 4-0, Extend Streak to 4 Games
|
The Carmel Apples downed the San Angelo Mustangs, 4-0, at BLM Stadium. Carmel pitcher Kyle Ott had a scintillating performance. San Angelo is in the throes of a long losing streak, which is now 11 games.
The Apples benefited from an error in the bottom of the second inning. Carmel was leading 1-0 when Matt Morrow hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put Carmel in front, 2-0.
San Angelo manager Trey Burrell, after yet another defeat, said: "We need to recalibrate."
