Earthquakes Use Late Score to Top Armada, 4-3
|
The San Francisco Earthquakes weathered a fine game by Quebec left fielder Danny Cervantes to upend the Armada, 4-3, at Golden Gate Park. Cervantes slugged 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. San Francisco has run its win streak to 4 straight.
Josh McBroom was the walk-off hero for San Francisco. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Earthquakes pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"This place was jumping at the end," McBroom said.
