The Baltimore Magicians managed to get by the Carmel Apples, 7-6, at BLM Stadium. Baltimore pitcher Jeff Raether set himself apart with his performance. Raul Luna was credited with the save, his 17th in 17 tries. Baltimore is in second place in the TML A Dick Williams Division with a record of 44-32.

Baltimore used a timely hit from Will Moreno to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Magicians ahead, 7-6. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

Raether told reporters after the game: "All's well that ends well."
