Memphis third baseman Brenton Perfect was sensational. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. St. Paul beat the Blues, 4-3. Robby Rojas was the winner in relief. His record is now 3-4. The losing pitcher was Victor Cortez. The losing skid has reached 7 games for Memphis.

The game was at a stalemate until third baseman Bert Rivera came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Memphis pitcher Victor Cortez, he hit a first pitch fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting St. Paul on top, 4-3.
