Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Montreal Mounties and Bighorn Bison.

The exploits of shortstop Kiyomi Arai helped the Montreal Mounties defeat the Bighorn Bison, 7-2. Arai went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times. Montreal has an impressive 40-18 record.

In the top of the 4th, Montreal took the lead on a 2-run single by Gene Johnson. At the time, the Mounties were trailing 2-1, but Johnson's hit with two outs against Bighorn pitcher Jeff Lee put them in front, 3-2.

"If the personal accolades come, so be it," said Johnson. "I just want to win ballgames."
