The Memphis Blues got a strong performance from pitcher Alex Moralez, who stymied the Victoria offense en route to a win, 3-2, at The Barn. The win for the Blues lifted their record to 36-30.

Forrest Suggs had a big solo home run for the Blues in the bottom of the second inning. With Memphis leading 2-0 and the bases empty, he got a fastball from Jermão Corvite and swatted a home run to left-center. It was his 18th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Blues ahead, 3-0.

"Every play was important. Every out was important," said Blues manager Mike Williams.
