Jedi Knights Bridle Panthers, 3-1
|
New Orleans Jedi Knights starter Danny Ferry was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Charleston Panthers, 3-1. Ferry, now 2-4, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 9, walking 2, and allowing 1 earned run. Sean Mapson earned save number 12.
The Jedi Knights got a big at-bat from right fielder Jose Medina. For the game, Medina went 1 for 4. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run single. His 80th hit of the season gave New Orleans a 3-1 lead.
"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Medina.
