River Chiefs Turn Back Crosscutters, 4-2

Chippewa River Chiefs starter Tim Harrington was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Williamsport Crosscutters, 4-2. Harrington went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 10. His record improves to 4-3. Earning his 18th save for Chippewa was Gil Ruelas.
Mike Everett, the Chippewa third baseman, contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to make the score 3-1, River Chiefs. For the game, Everett went 1-4.
"I like winning," Harrington told the Chippewa Chronicle. "I may joke around, but when it comes down to it, winning is the most important thing."
Chippewa, at 39-32, sits in third place in the TMLA Dick Williams Division.
