Princes Sneak Past Sting, 3-2
|
In a low-scoring clash between Bel Air and Houston, pitcher Oscar Carrillo was a difference-maker. The right-hander earned player of the game honors for Bel Air in the 3-2 win. Bel Air reliever Bill Campos picked up the win, upping his record to 5-1. T.J. Milano was saddled with the loss. The win puts the Princes at 33-24, while the Sting drop to 22-38.
The game was at a stalemate until right fielder Ramon Campos came to bat in the bottom of the tenth. Facing Houston pitcher T.J. Milano, he hit a 0-1 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Bel Air on top, 3-2.
"It's great when the crowd gets into it," Campos said.
