Marco Alonzo helped his team muscle past the Ocala Knights, 9-5. In the game, the Nichols catcher went 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. John Doyle was the winner. He's now 6-1. The loser was 19-year old right-handed pitcher Dave Perez. Nichols now has a record of 29-19 with the win.

Early in the game, Alonzo had a 3-run home run for Nichols. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Gnats on top, 3-0.
