West Virginia Keeps Spiraling Downward
|
Bel Air first baseman Steve Miller helped his team beat the West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws, 9-3. Miller, who is tied for 4th in the RHA in home runs with 14, went 1 for 2 for the Princes. Bel Air pitcher Tony Roa got the win. He's now 6-0. Danny Rodriges was tagged with the loss. The Princes are now 32-19, while the Dancin' Outlaws fall to 23-27.
Miller had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth to put Bel Air in front, 3-1. With the bases loaded, he grounded out, driving in 1 run off West Virginia pitcher Danny Rodriges.
West Virginia manager Guy de Kleijn, after yet another defeat, remained upbeat. He said: "We're going to get out of this thing, we're going to come busting through."
