Warriors Win in Glorious Fashion
|
The Moose Jaw Warriors did just enough to sneak past the Houston Sting, 1-0, at The Nut House. Moose Jaw pitcher Raul Fabian earned player of the game honors. Moose Jaw reliever Douggie Aikman got the win, raising his record to 2-4. Trent Farmer was tagged with the loss. The 5th-place Warriors lifted their record to 20-23.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when Moose Jaw second baseman Cesar Recinos, facing Trent Farmer, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Warriors the 1-0 win.
"We had a chance to win," said Houston manager Geoffrey Jellineck, "but we didn't get it done."
