Lawmen Edged, 9-8, by San Antonio
|
The inspired effort of Marshall shortstop Josh Bigrigg was not enough to prevent a loss, 9-8, to the San Antonio River Bandits. Bigrigg went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. San Antonio reliever Juan Aldana picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Bobby Darst took the loss. The River Bandits raised their record to 19-9.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when San Antonio first baseman Matt Moritz, facing Bobby Darst, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the River Bandits the 9-8 win.
"This one wasn't over until it was over," Moritz said, postgame.
