Lake Monsters Lose, 10-6, to Oconomowoc
|
Though he had a stellar game, Carl Churchill could not prevent his team, the Okanagan Lake Monsters, from losing, 10-6, to the Oconomowoc Five O's. Churchill went 4-5 with a double and 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Rodolfo Alarcon, who went 5.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 2 runs on 6 hits, while walking 4 and striking out 8. His record now stands at 1-2. The loss drops the Lake Monsters to 7-8.
Kurt Schott was 2-4 with 2 singles and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for Oconomowoc. The 23-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the top of the fourth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch off Bill Lovett. It was his 11th RBI of the season.
"Glad to go home with a win," said Schott.
