Blazers Handed 5-3 Defeat
|
Good production from first baseman Mark Ballard helped the Seattle Sasquatch topple the Bloomington Blazers, 5-3. Ballard went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Sasquatch. Nate Wesson earned the save, his 4th, for the Sasquatch. Seattle is now 23-27.
With Seattle leading 2-1 in the bottom of the third, Ballard hit a fastball from John Peters for a 3-run home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Sasquatch ahead, 5-1.
"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Ballard told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
