Ruiz Excels, But Birdwings Win
The Brownsville Bandits got a superb performance from center fielder Carlos Ruiz, but the Hazleton Birdwings still won the game, 15-14. Ruiz was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 doubles, and 2 walks, while scoring 3 and driving in 5. Carlos Rodriguez earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen.
