Barrels Reel-In 3-1 Win Over Lawmen
The Cell was the site of a tense game between the Marshall Lawmen and Niagara Falls Barrels.

Niagara Falls Barrels pitcher Tony Diaz was in fine form, leading his team past the Marshall Lawmen, 3-1. Diaz yielded 1 run over 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 10 hits, walked 5, and struck out 6. His record improves to 1-0. Mitch Rahill earned save number 2 this season.

Niagara Falls used the timely hitting of Gabe Hanson to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Barrels on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Not to be Captain Obvious," said Marshall manager Jim Moores, "but we need to push more runs across the plate."
