Amerson, Vikings March to 10-4 Victory

The home crowd had a good time watching the Memphis Blues and Victoria Vikings get after it.
The Victoria Vikings topped the Memphis Blues, 10-4, at The drakkar. Victoria second baseman Danny Amerson was a spark plug for the offense. He went 3-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Josh Roby was the winner. Over 5 innings, he yielded no runs on 3 hits, with 3 walks and 5 strikeouts.
With Victoria leading 2-0 in the bottom of the sixth, Amerson hit a fastball from Bill Larimore for a 3-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Vikings ahead, 5-0.
"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Amerson told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
The Vikings, now 2-0, have been playing some good baseball.
