The Chippewa River Chiefs topped the Charleston Panthers, 6-5, in TMLA action at Franklin Mountains Field. The player of the game was Chippewa pitcher and Havana, Cuba native Abraham Jimenez. The River Chiefs, now 2-1, have been playing some good baseball.

The River Chiefs got an important contribution from center fielder Jonathan Saldana, who in the top of the tenth punched a 1-2 fastball into center for a run-scoring double. It was his 2nd double of the season and put the River Chiefs ahead, 6-5.

"It's a satisfying feeling, to win like we did," said Saldana.
