The home team was supported by a raucous crowd at Red Bull Stadium.
The Murraysville Peacocks stopped the Beaumont Drillers, 11-2, behind an impressive performance from Billy Hurt. The 26-year old first baseman made life miserable for Beaumont pitching. He was 2-3 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. The win puts Murraysville at 62-91.
With Murraysville leading 2-0 in the bottom of the third, Hurt hit a slider from Yukimasa Kobayashi for a 3-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Peacocks ahead, 5-0.
"We can't expect to win," said Beaumont manager Takuzo Kaneshiro, "with that kind of performance."
