Rock River beat Carson City at The Rat Hole, escaping with a 5-4 win. The win in large part was due to shortstop Alex Miguel. He went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Brett Bunn earned the win for Rock River. He lasted 8 innings, allowing 4 runs on 8 hits, while striking out 2. With the win, he raised his record to 10-9. Rock River, now 82-50, holds down first place in the TML AA Bruce Bochy Division.

Had Miguel not come through in the bottom of the seventh, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Miguel hit a run-scoring single. The Rats took the lead, 5-4, and never looked back.

"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Miguel told the Rock River Daily News.
