Texans Lose Again, 6-2, to Hornets
|
A good performance from right fielder Mark Bradford helped the Eureka Hornets defeat the Dallas Texans, 6-2. Bradford went 1-2 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Hornets. Jason Leffert closed it out for Eureka, earning his 1st save. The second-place Hornets bumped their record to 25-19.
Brian Carr, who led the RCL in wins above replacement with 6.3 last year, aided the Eureka cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the designated hitter drew 1 walk.
"We'll try to build on that win," Bradford told the Eureka News.
