Sawyer hits 2 home runs, Leads Texans to Win
The Dallas Texans defeated the Cabo San Lucas Toreros, 7-3, at Metroplex Park. Dallas second baseman Chris Sawyer had a superb performance. He went 3 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Dallas reliever Bob Epperson picked up the win, upping his record to 3-2. John Koch took the loss. The Texans are now 17-28.

With Dallas leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fifth, Sawyer hit a cutter from Andres Esparza for a 2-run home run. It was his 11th home run of the season and put the Texans ahead, 3-0.

"This was a total team effort," said Sawyer.
