The Moose Jaw Canucks and starting pitcher Marco Grados stifled the Boston offense en route to a comfortable 8-1 win at The Studio. Grados, now 8-6, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 9, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. Ken McCann earned the save for Moose Jaw, his 1st.

Jamie Markley came through with a big-time hit for Moose Jaw. The pinch hitter smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 2-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Marco pitched like a son-of-a-gun," said Moose Jaw manager Seifu Lusweti.

The Canucks, at 68-26, have a comfortable 18½-game lead in their division.
