Capanna Raps Maple for 5 Hits
|
Players get multi-hit games all the time, but 5-hit ones are a whole lot rarer. It happened at The Mandalore Complex when John Capanna of Milwaukee scattered 5 hits all over the ballpark against the Maple Marauders.
He went 5-for-5 in a career performance to help the Millers get by the Marauders, 11-2. The left fielder was in a talkative and jovial mood after the game, saying his swing "was really, really there today."
"I made some good, sweet-spot contact and when that happens, good things happen," he said. "You know, like going 5-for-5. I could get used to days like this."
John Capanna singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and singled in the 7th.
