Bulldogs Come Back Late to Top Wolverines
|
The Spokane Bulldogs topped the Wichita Wolverines, 2-1, in TMLAA action at Howling Park. The player of the game was Spokane pitcher and Canton, Ohio native Thurman Munson Jr.. The Bulldogs now have a record of 34-37.
Late-game drama came in the top of the eighth inning. With two out and the bases empty, the batter, Israel Saltos, hit a solo home run. It helped Spokane seize the win.
Afterward, Bulldogs manager Lorenzo Rodríguez was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
