Niagara Falls pitcher Jason Murphy did his part in helping his team beat the Murraysville Peacocks, 12-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Murphy, who is tied for 7th in the TAA in innings pitched with 92.1, went the distance for Niagara Falls. He gave up 2 runs on 5 hits. Today's win puts Niagara Falls at 40-28, while Murraysville falls to 21-48.

The Pipe Fitters got a big hit from shortstop Ceasario Buozzi. Facing Murraysville pitcher Arturo Berrios in the top of the fifth, Buozzi pounded a bases-clearing double to left-center. His 13th double of the season put the Pipe Fitters ahead, 12-2.

"You can't sugarcoat this one," said Murraysville manager Joseph Kelley. "We got trounced."
