Wichita left fielder Michel Hull helped his team beat the Rock River Rats, 5-2. Hull went 2 for 2 for the Wolverines. Emilio Vasquez notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. His record now sits at 1-1.

Making an impact for Wichita was shortstop Orlando Velasco. He drilled a triple off Rich Swayngim in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, Velasco was 2-3 with a triple, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times.

Velasco told the Wichita Daily: "Win or lose, I don't want to see our team outhustled."
