DeKalb Blanked by Flores, 3-0
|
In a seemingly effortless performance, Hugo Flores of the Adirondack Lumberjacks shot down the DeKalb Cornhuskers, 3-0, on 1 hit.
"Hugo was just locating so well and using his pitches," Adirondack manager Daniel Brenton said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate."
Flores recorded 3 strikeouts and 1 walk in a strong outing.
"When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," DeKalb manager Kinnojo Hara said in postgame comments to BNN. "We couldn't get a key hit off him."
Over the season Flores has thrown 36.1 innings and dished out 27 strikeouts with a 3-3 mark and a 4.46 ERA.
