Peacocks Rally Late to Nip Beetlecats
The Murraysville-Buzzard's Bay game took longer to complete because of the rain. But it was worth it for the home team in the end.

The Murraysville Peacocks racked up a win at Red Bull Stadium, bumping off the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats, 5-4, in 10 innings. Steve Matkin, who started for Murraysville, pitched effectively for his team. The loss drops Buzzard's Bay to 16-15.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Murraysville shortstop Jason Alston, facing Matt Williams, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Peacocks the 5-4 win.

"It was a test of wills," said Joseph Kelley, the Murraysville skipper. "I'm glad we came out of it with a win."
