The Louisiana Crocodiles beat the Kelowna Rockets, 9-5, at Joey Naples Memorial Colloseum. The Crocodiles got a fine performance from center fielder Peyton Miller, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. The win pushes Louisiana to a record of 2-3.

It could have been a different outcome for Louisiana, had it not been for Sergio Fernandez, the 24-year old catcher . Fernandez contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the ninth inning to put Louisiana up, 6-5.

"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Miller.
