|
Murraysville Peacocks starter Steve Matkin found his groove in his team's 7-3 win over the Roaring River Steelheads. Matkin yielded 3 runs over 8.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 2, and struck out 6. His record improves to 1-0. The victory makes Murraysville 3-2.
Murraysville shortstop Adan Munoz contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a fastball to left field for a 2-run single. It was his 2nd hit of the season and put the Peacocks ahead, 5-0.
"Steve showed what he's made of," said Murraysville manager Joseph Kelley.
