Astoria Beats Amarillo in 10-Inning Thriller
The Astoria Argonauts did just enough to secure a victory over the Amarillo Armadillos, 5-4, in 10 innings at Armadillos Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Andy Baer. Astoria reliever Sam Scott got the win, raising his record to 9-4. Arturo Contreras was tagged with the loss. Picking up the save was Bobby Matthews. He's now 1 for 2 in save chances.

Astoria took advantage of an error in the top of the tenth inning. The game was tied, 3-3, when Chris Fellenz hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Argonauts in front, 4-3.

"Sweet win for us, tough loss for them," said Fellenz.

The win boosted Astoria to 72-59.
