The Astoria Argonauts defeated the Madison Muskies, 17-3, at Golden Fleece Park. Astoria second baseman Nick Johnson had a superb performance. He belted 3 home runs, while scoring 4 times and driving in 7. Cesar Magana was the winner. Over 6.1 innings, he yielded 3 runs on 9 hits, with 1 walk and 5 strikeouts. The win for the Argonauts lifted their record to 75-74.

Jaden Edwards had a big 3-run home run for the Argonauts in the bottom of the first inning. With Astoria leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he sized up a fastball from Brandon Hyde, who is tied for 3rd in the TAAA in strikeouts with 145, and punished it. The result was his 15th home run of the season, which put the Argonauts on top, 5-0.

In comments to the Astoria Observer, Edwards admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
