Streaking Bumblebees Win Another One
With pinch hitter Edwin Alvarez leading the charge, the Pasadena Bumblebees defeated the Minneapolis Freeze, 7-6, at The Hole. Alvarez was 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Pasadena reliever Victor Bustos picked up the win, bumping his record to 4-1. Evan Sheldon was collared with the loss. Pasadena now has a 6-game win streak.

Had Alvarez not come through in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have changed. Instead, with two down, Alvarez hit a 2-run home run. The Bumblebees never looked back after taking the 7-6 lead.

"We found a way to get it done," Alvarez said.
