The Tallahassee Captains picked up a win at The Carrier Dome, taking down the Peoria Caterpillars, 6-3. Starting pitcher John Hunter was a big reason why. Hunter, now 1-2, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 8, walking 4, and allowing 3 runs. Chris Bagley closed it out for Tallahassee, earning his 4th save.

The Captains got a big at-bat from third baseman Bob Sanders. For the game, Sanders went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 9th home run of the season gave Tallahassee a 3-0 lead.

"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Sanders said in reaction to the win.

Tallahassee now sports a record of 39-64.
