Waimea Wind starter Andy Salas was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Fairfield Flash, 9-1. Salas got the win, improving to 8-7. He allowed 4 hits and walked 5 over 8.2 innings. Salas allowed 1 earned run. Waimea currently is in second place in the RCL AAA Tony La Russa Division at 66-50.
In the top of the first, Joop Kok ambushed a 1-1 fastball from Héctor Bello and hit a solo home run. It gave Waimea a quick 1-0 lead.
