Fans watched the Waimea Wind and the Fort Worth Cats fight to the finish.

Chris Crofts, who leads the RAAA with a .363 batting average, led Waimea to a win over Fort Worth. The final score was 8-7. Crofts scored 2 times, while going 4 for 5. The catcher also was credited with 1 run batted in. Ben Nunley closed it out for Waimea, earning his 23rd save.

Waimea designated hitter Jason Boomsma contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the sixth. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 46th hit of the season and put the Wind ahead, 8-4.

"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager Orlando González.

At 53-45, the Wind claim third place in the RCL AAA Tony La Russa Division.
