Hens Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Captains, 4-2
Hendersonville Hens starter Khalil Haywood turned in a top-notch performance against the Tallahassee Captains at The Carrier Dome. The result was a win for the Hens, 4-2. Haywood got the win, improving to 9-5. He gave up 6 hits and walked 3 over 8 innings. He allowed 2 runs. J.P. Larson earned his 6th save, after closing out the game.

Hendersonville took a 3-2 lead on Austin Hyde's 7th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Hyde hit in the top of the eighth, left Tallahassee pitcher Jesus Gonsalez visibly frustrated.

"Khalil executed his pitches at a high level," said Hendersonville manager Tae-geun Lee.

The 5th-place Hens hiked their record to 40-45.
